Austin Lakes Hospital’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides structured outpatient mental health services for patients who do not require 24-hour hospitalization. This intensive program is offered during the day, treating depression, anxiety, mood disorders and other mental and behavioral health issues.
Patients can return home at night to interact with friends and family members. This interaction with the community can help patients practice their social skills and coping techniques in real-life situations at home or at work. It also decreases the level of disruption to the lives of adults who have other obligations to their schooling, employment or families.
Our program focuses on further stabilizing adult and senior adult mental health, providing the skillset and tools to work through mental health issues and manage symptoms. PHP is often a step-down program after inpatient treatment or long-term residential treatment. It provides intensive oversight during the day as adults ages 18 and older participate in group therapy and other therapeutic activities.
This intensive day treatment helps patients further improve their condition, whether they’re still struggling with the symptoms of depression, bipolar disorder, anger issues and other mental health concerns.
A psychiatrist-led team of diverse masters-level clinicians will assess each client in the Partial Hospitalization Program. The team will work with patients to develop a unique treatment plan to meet their needs. Whether a patient is seeking depression treatment or needs help with anxiety, our team will put together a plan to improve each patient’s mental health condition. Program components include:
